These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Open Source Hustle LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Open Source Hustle", "we", "us", or "our"). They cover two things: your use of opensourcehustle.com and its content, and any services we provide to you as a client. By using this site, buying from it, or accepting a proposal or quotation from us, you agree to these Terms.

About This Site
Open Source Hustle publishes articles, tutorials, and guides on self-hosted software, open-source tools, automation, DevOps, and related subjects, some free and some paid. We also provide web development, Odoo, automation, business setup, and digital marketing services to clients (see Part 2).
Use of Content
All content published on this site, including articles, tutorials, code snippets, screenshots, and guides, is the intellectual property of Open Source Hustle unless otherwise stated.
- You may read, reference, and share links to our content freely.
- You may use code snippets from our tutorials in your own projects.
- You may not reproduce full articles or substantial portions of our content on other platforms without written permission.
- You may not repackage or resell our content, paid or free, in any form.
- Attribution is appreciated when referencing or adapting our work.
Digital Products & Courses
- Purchases are processed through third-party payment platforms. We do not store your payment details.
- Paid resources and courses are licensed for your personal use unless otherwise specified. They may not be shared, resold, or redistributed.
- Because digital products are delivered instantly, sales are final. If something doesn't work or isn't as described, contact us within 7 days of purchase and we'll fix it or refund you.
- We may update or improve paid resources over time.
Accuracy of Information
We make every effort to keep our tutorials and guides accurate and up to date, but software versions change, APIs evolve, and configurations that work today may need adjustment tomorrow.
- Content is provided as-is, for educational purposes only.
- Always verify information against official documentation before applying it in production environments.
- We are not responsible for issues arising from following our guides in your specific environment.
User Conduct
When using this site, including submitting contact forms or making purchases, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure.
- Use automated tools to scrape or mass-download content.
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
Third-Party Tools & Links
Our content often references third-party tools, including Odoo, n8n, Docker, WordPress, nginx, GitHub, and others. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially partnered with these companies unless explicitly stated, and their use is subject to their own terms and licenses. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we have no control over and assume no responsibility for their content, privacy practices, or availability.
This part applies when you hire us for a project or subscription, such as a website or learning platform, an Odoo setup, automation, hosting and support, US business setup guidance, or ad campaigns.
Proposals & Orders
- Each engagement is defined by a proposal, quotation, or order we send you (an "Order"). It sets out the scope, price, payment terms, and timeline.
- You accept an Order by signing it, including electronically through our client portal or an e-signature request, or by paying it online. Electronic signatures and online acceptance are as binding as a handwritten signature.
- These Terms apply to every Order. If an Order conflicts with these Terms, the Order prevails for that engagement.
- Prices in a proposal are valid until the date stated on it, or for 30 days if no date is stated.
Payment
- Fees and the payment schedule are stated in your Order, for example full payment upfront, or a deposit with the balance due at launch. Unless stated otherwise, invoices are due on receipt.
- Prices are in US dollars and do not include third-party costs or any applicable taxes.
- Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Work starts once the required payment is received. If a payment is overdue, we may pause work until it is settled.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Before work starts: if you cancel before the kickoff session or before any work begins, we refund what you paid, minus non-refundable payment processing fees.
- After work starts: fees for work that has started or been delivered are non-refundable. If your Order includes separately priced parts or phases that have not started, we refund the fee for those parts.
- Bundles: if you cancel part of a discounted bundle, the parts you keep are re-priced at their standalone prices and we refund the difference, if any.
- Deposits reserve time in our schedule and become non-refundable once work begins.
- Subscriptions are not refunded for partial periods (see Subscriptions).
- Third-party costs, such as domains, hosting, software licenses, government filing fees, and ad spend, are non-refundable by us, including any we pay or bill on your behalf. They follow each provider's own terms.
- Provider decisions: a bank, payment processor, ad platform, or other provider declining your application or account is not grounds for a refund of work already performed.
- Billing issues: please contact us first. Opening a payment dispute or chargeback for work that was delivered may lead us to suspend related services while it is resolved.
To cancel, email alex@opensourcehustle.com. Refunds due under this section are issued to the original payment method within 14 days.
Subscriptions: Hosting, Support & Retainers
- Subscriptions are billed in advance for each period (monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled. If you pay by card, your saved payment method is charged at each renewal.
- What each plan includes, such as hosting, monitoring, backups, updates, and support hours, is described in your Order.
- Any free period, for example free support for the first months after a project, is stated in your Order. When it ends, the paid subscription starts only if you choose to continue.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; partial periods are not refunded.
- Support hours included in a plan apply to that period and do not carry over.
- If a renewal payment is more than 15 days overdue, we may close the subscription and suspend the related services.
- We can't guarantee uninterrupted availability of hosting or other third-party services.
- When a hosting subscription ends, we provide a full copy of your website (files and database) so you can move it to a host of your choice. Hands-on migration help is available as a separate service.
Timelines & Your Responsibilities
- Timelines in proposals are estimates. They depend on you providing content, feedback, approvals, and access on time; delays on your side extend the timeline accordingly.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you provide, and you confirm that you have the rights to any text, images, logos, or other materials you give us.
- If a project is on hold on your side for more than 60 days, we may close it and deliver the completed work as-is. Resuming later depends on our availability.
Revisions & Change Requests
- Revisions are included as stated in your Order. Where an Order includes unlimited revisions, they cover the agreed scope until launch and for 30 days after launch, unless the Order says otherwise.
- Requests outside the agreed scope, such as new pages, features, or integrations, are change requests. We quote them first and only proceed with your approval.
Launch & Warranty
- For 30 days after launch, we fix defects in our own work free of charge.
- This does not cover issues caused by changes made by you or others, updates to third-party software or platforms, or hosting outages outside our control. After that, fixes and updates are covered by a support subscription or quoted separately.
Ownership & Intellectual Property
- Once you have paid in full, you own the deliverables we create specifically for you, including your website's custom design and content.
- We keep ownership of our pre-existing tools, code, templates, and know-how, and you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use them as part of your deliverables.
- Open-source components, themes, plugins, and fonts remain subject to their own licenses.
- We may show completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.
Accounts & Third-Party Services
- Wherever possible, accounts such as domain, hosting, email, payment, and business accounts are created in your name, and you give us access. At handover, you receive all credentials; we recommend changing passwords afterwards.
- Third-party services are provided by their vendors under their own terms and pricing, which may change. We are not responsible for their outages, policy changes, or decisions such as account reviews, holds, or suspensions.
US Business Setup Services
Our US company formation and account setup service (LLC formation, EIN, and accounts such as Mercury, Wise, and Stripe) is experience-sharing and hands-on accompaniment, based on our own experience setting up and running these tools.
- It is not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and we are not lawyers or accountants.
- All registrations and accounts are made in your name. You remain responsible for your company's filings, taxes, and compliance, and we recommend working with a licensed US accountant (CPA) for annual filings.
- Approval of any account is at the sole discretion of the provider. We cannot guarantee approval; if an application is declined, we will help you explore available alternatives within the scope of your engagement.
- Government fees, registered agent fees, and similar costs are paid by you directly and are not included in our fees.
Advertising Services
- Ad spend is paid by you directly to the ad platforms and is not included in our fees.
- We do not guarantee specific results such as reach, leads, or sales. Platforms may reject or limit ads under their own policies.
- Campaign management fees are non-refundable once the campaign period has started.
Confidentiality & Data
- We keep your non-public business information confidential and use any access you give us only to deliver the services.
- If we handle personal data on your behalf, for example your customers' data on your website or in Odoo, we do so only to provide the services. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
Ending an Engagement
- You can cancel an Order or subscription as described in Cancellations & Refunds and Subscriptions.
- Either of us may end an engagement if the other materially breaches these Terms or the Order and does not fix it within 14 days of written notice.
- When an engagement ends, you pay for work performed up to that date, and prepaid fees for parts that have not started are refunded as described above. We hand over completed work and credentials once all amounts due are settled.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Except as expressly stated in these Terms or in your Order, this site, its content, and our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses, and we do not guarantee specific results from following any tutorial or guide.
Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us under the Order giving rise to the claim, or, for subscriptions, the fees paid in the 3 months before the claim.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, downtime, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Events Beyond Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as outages of third-party services, internet or power failures, natural disasters, or government actions.
Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms and every Order are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
- If a dispute arises, we will first try in good faith to resolve it together within 30 days of written notice. If we cannot, it will be resolved by the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless we both agree otherwise in writing.
Other Terms
- Your Order and these Terms are the entire agreement for that engagement.
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- We act as an independent contractor.
- These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. For website use, continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. For services, the version in effect when you accepted your Order applies to that Order unless we both agree otherwise in writing.
